The Environmental Protection
Agency (EPA) says that indoor air can be 5 to 10 times more polluted than outdoor air (and in extreme cases, up to 100 times
more polluted).
Unfortunately, according to the
EPA, the average American spends 93% of their life indoors. 87%
of their life is inside, then another 6% of their life in automobiles.
That's only 7% of your entire life outdoors.
That means only one half of one day per week outdoors.
Our
bodies were not designed to function optimally indoors. We were created and evolved in an outdoor
environment. Our
bodies were designed to live outdoors!
Think about it…. When man first began to walk upright there were no
houses or buildings of any kind. We
slept in caves or shelters made of tree branches and grass, and spent our
waking hours outdoors hunting and gathering food. Our bodies were optimized to live in those
conditions. We need fresh, oxygenated
air to clean our lungs. When we breathe
fresh air we expel mucous and other toxins and allow more oxygen into our
blood. Our cells MUST have oxygen to
survive. Our brains use 20% of our blood
oxygen. Clean, Fresh air equals
healthier lungs, a more efficient immune system, more energy and better brain
function. It also means more restful
sleep and more energy.
We all know how much better we feel when we
breathe fresh, outdoor air. Many of us
know how great fresh, mountain air is, and anyone that has gone camping in the
forest or beside a mountain lake or waterfall has undoubtedly noticed how much
better you sleep, how much better you feel and how much more energy you wake up
with in the morning.
What is it about outdoor air that has this
effect on us? The answer is: It is NATURAL!!
Nature’s Air Cleansing Process
The Earth has been cleaning its own air for
millions of years by using a process that includes hydroxyl molecules. Hydroxyl
molecules are naturally occurring particles that are created when the sun’s
ultraviolet rays react with water vapor in the air. These molecules can then
“seek out” different air contaminants, such as odor molecules, bacteria,
viruses, and other chemicals. The hydroxyls then neutralize the contaminants by
breaking down their chemical bonds. This
results in the clean, fresh air that we associate with Mother Nature.
Nature,
using this process, cleans
and adds energy to the air. It
uses negative ions to clump polluting particles together and make them fall out
of the air we breathe. The result of all
this is that outdoors, nature is constantly cleaning and energizing the
air. Notice that I said Cleaning NOT Purifying the air.
Outdoor air IS NOT PURE! Did that statement surprise you? Think about it….. The air outdoors has all
kinds of impurities in it! For example,
there are chemical impurities, pollens, fumes from decaying vegetation and
animals etc. So why is this fresh air
not foul? It is for the reasons
mentioned above. Nature constantly cleans,
adds energy, and removes polluting particles!
Indoor air, on the other hand, doesn’t have the
benefit of the processes nature uses to do all this. Indoor air gets stale very quickly. In addition, people, in a confined environment
are constantly exhaling more carbon dioxide, germs and odors into the air. We give off body odors, and we have
furniture, household cleaners, cooking, and other things that are contributing
odors and other things to the mixture that is indoor air. Today’s building codes are such that our
homes and offices are fairly airtight in order to conserve energy. As a result, we trap this indoor air in our
breathing spaces. It gets stale, picks
up odors, is laden with germs and bacteria, and often tends to be dry. Worst of all, it gets depleted of energy.
Experts say that even with open windows, you
only exchange about 10% to 20% of the air in the house. Because of something they call “air flow
dynamics” which essentially says that the air from outside only penetrates
about 24 inches from the window. On top
of that, opening the windows does not allow sufficient amounts of negative
ions, which are essential to cleaning and removing the particulate matter which
is the invisible but physical particle pollutants that float in your air. This is especially true if you have screens
on the windows (as nearly everyone does) to keep the bugs out. Electrically speaking these ions become
grounded out and discharge their electrical energy when they come in contact
with anything connected to the earth. This includes your
house! The only feasible way to get
sufficient amounts of negative ions is to have something replacing them 24
hours a day.
Most people do not realize that there is
a limited amount of air indoors and it gets breathed over and over and over
again. The nice thing is that nature constantly cleans and energizes the
air outdoors with perfect amounts of ions and hydrogen and it also creates the
perfect amount of oxygen to sustain us breath after breath. In our sealed
up, air tight, energy efficient homes, the situation is much different.
We not only have a very small amount of air to breathe inside of a
building, but we have nothing indoors to replace the missing ions, and oxygen
to our indoor air.
Have you ever been warned not to put a
plastic bag over your head? Obviously you would suffocate due to the
small amount of air inside the bag. Your house is similar to a large
plastic bag with a very limited amount of air inside. Not only is your
air supply limited, but each person in your home will consume approximately
2,500 gallons of air each day. This is approximately 22,000 breaths of
air for each person. Every time a person takes just one breath, it
degrades the quality of the air indoors. Now multiply that times how many
people live in your house; or the rapid effect of air degradation when company
comes to visit. The very moment you close your windows, the air inside of
your home starts turning from fresh to rancid. As humans and animals inhale
and exhale, the oxygen levels plummet and the
levels of poisonous carbon dioxide increase. These higher carbon dioxide levels cause headaches, fatigue, attention deficit, and unrest even
after sleeping, as well as many other indoor air related symptoms that people
do not readily connect to the poor quality of the air they breathe in indoor
environments. These problems have even
greater effect on children and the elderly.
The Solution: Air Naturalization
If Nature does such a
good job of cleaning and energizing the air outdoors, then doesn’t it make
sense to replicate that process INDOORS? Of course it does!
This process is
called Air Naturalization. The
dictionary defines naturalization as “being brought into conformity with
nature” or acting like nature.
That being the case, then “purifying” air is not natural since, as mentioned above, outdoor air is not
“pure”. Nature cleans and energizes it.
As a result, the
solution for your home or office is NOT to try to “purify” the air (that doesn’t
really work anyway), but to “naturalize” it and make it more like outside air.
There is a new
technology available called the Air Naturalizer™. It is not an “air purifier”; it is much more
advanced than that. The ionic engine in
this small device uses technology to electronically replicate what nature does
outdoors. This
is done in part by using a plasma chamber where a sample of contaminated air
enters. The technology deodorizes the
air flow; bacteria and other micro-organisms are neutralized, and hydroxyl
molecules are released. It also
generates negative ions to cause particles to be removed from the air. Most importantly,
just like nature itself, it adds energy to the air. An Air Naturalizer doesn’t just filter the air
that enters its chamber; it also cleanses the surrounding area with the
additional hydroxyl molecules and a balanced ionic flow as it continuously
creates and puts fresh, ENERGIZED air into the breathing space. It even kills germs and bacteria on surfaces.
This process virtually
eliminates pollutants in the air, on surfaces and even in fabrics.
This is essential for odor and germ control
for common living areas, kitchens, nurseries, and pet areas. The Air
Naturalizer cleans your air 24/7 for less than a penny a day, consuming under
3-watts of energy.
AirRestore
Air Naturalizers are Powerful, Filterless and
Chemical-Free. They use an all-natural process that virtually eliminates odors,
bacteria and other pollutants such as mold, mildew, E-coli, Staph, Salmonella,
Listeria, and more. It safely and naturally kills germs in the air and
provides a surface of protection to prevent germ
